National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Dr. Bruce Bebo is the Executive Vice President of Research at the National MS Society and leads the team that develops and implements the Society’s comprehensive research strategy. Dr. Bebo joined the Society in 2012 as the Associate Vice President of Discovery Research, with responsibility for the Society's biomedical research grant and fellowship programs. He brings over 25 years of experience in MS research. After receiving his Ph.D. in immunology from Texas A&M University, Dr. Bebo completed a National MS Society sponsored post-doctoral fellowship at the Portland VA Medical Center, and then served on the research faculty at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Bebo also brings experience from the industry and non-profit sectors, having served as the Director of Immunology Research for the pharmaceutical company Elbion, GmbH, and as the Director of Research and Medical Programs for the National Psoriasis Foundation. During his tenure at the National Psoriasis Foundation, he was instrumental in significantly increasing the foundation's research investments.
