Michael Lipscomb is an Associate Professor in Department of Biology at Howard University. After attaining a BS from UCLA and PhD from Univ of Pittsburgh in Immunology, Dr. Lipscomb went on to setup a research laboratory at Howard University. There, his laboratory investigates basic immunoregulatory mechanisms associated with antigen presentation. Knowledge gained is then fed into studies developing immunotherapeutic approaches to combat type 1 diabetes.
