Dr. Holtzman is the Selma and Herman Seldin Professor of Medicine and Director of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. His research laboratory focuses on mucosal immunity and inflammation, particularly in relation to acute and chronic lung disease triggered by viral infection. He also directs the Pulmonary Drug Discovery Program that includes a comprehensive team aimed at controlling acute infectious illness and chronic inflammatory disease after viral infection.
