Zeddy C. Bore MPH

Zeddy Bore is the Country Operations Manager for the PMI Vectorlink Project in Kenya where she provides organizational and logistical guidance, training, and management for the project’s IRS operations. Zeddy has more than 10 years’ experience in implementing Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS). In her current role, she has overseen 3 successful spray campaigns in Kenya where more than 94% of the found structures were sprayed protecting more than two million beneficiaries from malaria. Before she took up the challenge as the operations manager, Zeddy had worked for IRS 2 in Kenya project as the Environmental Compliance Officer and with previous implementer as the IRS District Coordinator. She graduated from Maseno University School of Public Health and Community Development with Master’s Degree in Public Health (Epidemiology and Populations Health) and from Moi University, School of Public Health with Bachelors of Science in Environmental health. Clearly Zeddy has played a leadership role in vector control, something she treasures and she is keen to ensure reduction in malaria cases in the western part of Kenya. 

In addition to her role as the Operations manager, Zeddy is also the PMI VectorLink Project’s Gender focal Point in Kenya. She has spearheaded inclusion of women in all roles pertaining IRS. In 2018, she ensured roles like pump technicians’ which have been male dominated in Kenya, were now being done by women. She is keen to ensure women inclusion in roles dominated by men and men inclusion in roles dominated by women. Zeddy has the passion to mentor other women colleagues into leadership roles and supervisory roles. She strongly believes that engaging women in vector control activities will have great impact in reducing the vector borne diseases like malaria since in most cases they are affected by disease burden either as victims or caregivers to those infected.
