Since 2014, Prof. Hedda Wardemann heads the Division of B cell Immunology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, German. She studied biology before her graduate studies at the Max-Planck Institute for Immunobiology in Freiburg, Germany. After her postdoctoral training in the lab of Michel Nussenzweig at The Rockefeller University, she headed her own group at the Max-Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin. Her lab studies the functional evolution and quality of B cell responses in health and disease on single-cell level as basis for the development of targeted interventions that direct antibody responses.
