The project aims to determine clinical/biological risk factors of immune-checkpoint inhibitors toxicity with particular focus on non-coding RNA. Ideally, we wish to establish risk factors, their mechanisms and to identify potential therapeutic targets which may interfere with revealed risk factors thus promoting safety outcomes of cancer immunotherapy.

Furthermore, works on collection and analysis of research samples obtained from COVID-19 patients enrolled to clinical trials at Blacktown/Westmead Hospitals at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia: (1) COSIN study (NCT04383652); (2) CORIA study (NCT04354818). The particular focus is to elaborate patterns of COVID-19 disease among cancer patients treated with immune-checkpoint inhibitors.
