Mary H. Hayden PhD, MA

Dr. Mary Hayden is a behavioral scientist whose primary research emphasis is on the human behavioral component of climate-sensitive health and disease issues. She received her Ph.D. in Health and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Colorado. Dr. Hayden is currently a Research Professor at the University of Colorado’s Trauma, Health and Hazards Center, adjoint faculty at the University of Colorado School of Public Health, an Affiliate Scientist with the National Center for Atmospheric Research, and a Guest Researcher with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her current work includes a focus on better understanding the transmission dynamics of Aedes-borne viruses, improving malaria health outcomes through engaging women in vector control, and identifying and optimizing strategies for community mobilization and engagement.
