Curtis James Henry PhD

Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Henry is an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology/ Oncology, Department of Pediatrics, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Cancer Immunology program at the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute and a member of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. His short-term career goal is to understand how conditions associated with deregulated inflammation impact the development and treatment outcomes of solid and hematological malignancies. His long-term career goal is to utilize information gleaned from these studies to develop novel treatment options and diagnostic tools to improve outcomes in patients with historically poor prognoses (aged, obese, and patients with relapsed/refractory diseases). Along these lines, his group is working hard to identify predictors of T-cell functional responses in the context of hematological malignancies and use this information to create novel immunotherapies and biomarkers.
