Dr Michelle Giles is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Monash University, Melbourne Australia. She is an adult Infectious Diseases Physician who specialises in infections and immunisation in pregnancy. Her PhD was in HIV and pregnancy and her post-doctoral research was in hepatitis B and pregnancy. Professor Giles is a clinical researcher and one of the country's leading experts in infections in pregnancy. She has authored over 100 peer reviewed papers and is Editor of the Australasian Society of Infectious Diseases Perinatal Algorithms.
