The aging society is a global issue that pharmaceutical industries have been continuously increasing the interest of development new drugs for neurodegenerative diseases. Recent studies have shown that neuroinflammation plays a very important role in neurodegenerative diseases. In addition, the use of immunotherapy to treat cancer has also been the current mainstream trend; it is expected that drugs that modulate the immune system to achieve therapeutic goals will be the focus of future theme. Therefore, it is very important to establish an assessment of the effect for the drug candidates on the nervous system.
We have established platforms that include: Akt/ERK phosphorylation analysis to detect neuroprotective signaling transduction, H2O2 stressed MTT analysis to assess whether the drug can help overcome oxidative stress, neurite outgrowth deficiency and whether it affects neuronal differentiation. IPSC-derived cell drug screening platform was also established, iPSC-derived Motor neuron will be used for further validated the drug efficacy.
